Another bit of news. The gents in Jars of Clay called me to sing on a song for their upcoming project. I got to listen to several songs while in the studio with them. Absolutely beautiful stuff. Stunning. I wept at the first song they played for me. We dried off the console and listened to more. I'm telling you, this is an honest record, from folks who are committed to each other and to the community around them. And they have painted their masterpiece. I'm quite proud to be a very small part of this new cd. Thank you Steve, Dan, Matt, and Charlie. And thanks to producer Mitch Danes who also is very supportive of what I do.

Had a great trip to Seattle. Was there for ten days. Played at Zoka and the Woodsong festival with Sarah and Nathan Partain, of "People You Meet" fame. They were my band, and did a fabulous job. Check out their website, www.peopleyoumeet.net. The Woodsong Festival is every July, the last weekend. I highly recommend it, out on Orcus Island. Also my hosts, Brian Oaks and Brian Moss at The Madison House Studios, who hosted a house concert. Green Lake Pres also hosted a house concert, and were gracious hosts as they invited me to play several songs at their worship service July 20. I had the chance to talk to and catch up with Jan Krist, Bill and Brenda Malonee, Brooks Williams, Brian Moss and Katy Bowser at the festival.
I also got to play at this great club called The Tractor Tavern in Seattle. If you live in the Seattle area, you really must check it out. One of the best listening rooms supporting alt country/roots music I have ever visited. I opened for this cool band called the Waifs, from Australia. Their new cd is called "up all night" and it's really quite good.
all for now. thanks for stopping by
